Womens / men's health, pre and post natal mums, qualified yoga and pilates instructor.
Claire is a Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapist alongside a Chartered Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist who treats all types of injuries from small aches and pains, to long term chronic problems in any area of the body. Her physiotherapy has excelled since taking the Integrated Systems Model physiotherapy course. She also feels training as a yoga and Pilates teacher has helped her rehabilitate her patients in a controlled manner.
Claire works in a very holistic way, making sure she treats the root cause of the pain her patients are experiencing. Claire has a special interest in pelvic, obstetric and gynaecological physiotherapy and treats women ante-natally, post-natally or peri or post menopausal. She specialises in problems with the pelvic floor that can effect the bladder, bowel and pelvic alignment causing pain, dysfunction and incontinence. She also treats men with pelvic pain and dysfunction and works closely with many Consultants including Mr Gelman and Mr Kulkarni.
Claire is a Mummy MOT practitioner who provides a postnatal detailed physiotherapy assessment of the abdominal and pelvic area checking your posture, breathing, tummy gap and pelvic floor strength post pregnancy. From the assessment Claire will advise mums on how best to return to exercise safely and to allow them to look after their children safely and pain free.
Claire has worked in France for two ski seasons; in New Zealand during the 2010 Christchurch earthquake, treating many of those injured; and has also worked in the NHS and private clinics around England.
She currently is a Senior Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapist at St Peter’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and at West Byfleet Medical Centre. Claire is motivated to get you back to full function using her experience in Physiotherapy and Yoga to achieve your goals and maintain a healthy body and mind.
